Picnic
areas are provided for our motel guests.
One picnic area is close to the motel and has a deck with a picnic
table and
charcoal grill. From
this spot you have
a beautiful view of the Hickory
Nut Falls
and Chimney
Rock State Park. The other picnic area has
a picnic table and
is located at the end of the nature trail that is situated overlooking
your own
private waterfalls.
Parking at
the motel is located in two separate
areas. Parking directly in front of the motel is for cars and small
trucks.
Additional parking is located on the left side of the
motel for larger trucks and cars that may have
trailers and require more space.
Falls
Motel
Garden
center is scheduled to open in April with a display of
colorful potting
plants and hanging baskets. In addition to plants, the outdoor center
will have
hand made crafts from local artist.
Falls Motel bike
rentals will open at the end of May.
Take a leisurely stroll down to Chimney Rock and Lake
Lure
to fill in the afternoon. Helmets are required and provided to bikers.
An age
limit of 10 years old is required and only if supervised by an
accompanying
adult. Traffic in the Chimney Rock and Lake Lure
area is very congested at times and riders are responsible for their
own
safety. A
rental agreement and accident
waiver are mandatory at time of rental.
River
tubing is available in June, July, August and
September. Try your
skills in navigating
the Broad River on
a tube. The river is full
of swimming holes and large rock formations that make it very
adventurous. You
can purchase a river tube from the motel for your floating pleasure.
Got The Munchies? A
good supply of Sundries such as
microwave popcorn, frozen pizzas, ice cream, sodas and much more is
available.

Trout
fishing is best at it’s source! Our
motel is located only 1/4 mile from one
of the stocking points on the river. An easy walk from the motel will
get you
there. Make sure
you take a cooler, you'll need it!
DVD rentals are available at the front desk
just in
case you forgot yours.
Gift
baskets are available upon request. Buy an
assortment of cheeses, crackers, nuts, chips and pizza and receive a 6
pack of
beer or a bottle of wine free. (Sorry motel guest only)
Chimney
Rock State Park is located only 1/2 mile
from the motel. A great way to spend the day and take in breathtaking
views. The park offers a wide variety of things to do that keeps
everyone in the family entertained.
